2.01 Cases where jurisdiction at common law does not and cannot exist
There are certain persons who are entitled to assert their immunity from the jurisdiction of an English court, and certain matters which an English court has no jurisdiction – no power under the law – to entertain and adjudicate, even though the parties may wish the matter to be adjudicated. A summary of the law of non-jurisdiction is offered in this chapter.
