CHAPTER 9 References to the Admiralty Registrar

9.1 The longstanding1 practice of the Admiralty Court has been for the Admiralty Judge to refer certain issues to the Admiralty Registrar for determination. Paragraph 13.1 of the Practice Direction to CPR Part 61 states:
