AIOA joins IUA

The Aviation Insurance Offices Association (AIOA) is to be brought under the auspices of the International Underwriting Association (IUA). Outgoing AIOA chairman and underwriting executive at Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers, Peter Butler said in his annual report to members: ‘In this capacity we will be able to enjoy all the benefits of membership of this larger grouping while continuing to operate on a day-to-day basis, much as we do at the present time. We will still have an aviation chairman as well as senior representation able to speak for the aviation company market and we will fully contribute to and participate in activities involving LAUA and the Joint Technical Clauses Committee (JTCC).’
