Passive smoking kills 1,200 a year in UK
New research has suggested that 1,200 people in the UK die each year as a result of passive smoking at work. The research,
‘A killer on the loose,’ was carried out by James Repace, an expert on second hand smoke, and reveals that in the UK around
900 office workers, 165 bar workers and 145 manufacturing workers die each year as a direct result of breathing in other people’s
tobacco smoke at work.
