Future earnings and loss of chance of career

This case involving future lost earnings as part of a personal injury claim involving long term disability considered the issue of assessing the loss of chance of a future career. The court found that it was only appropriate to use a % in such cases where the chance was of a career with considerably higher earnings. It was more appropriate to use the traditional approach, the use of multiplier to a selected multiplicand.
