City analyst loses claim

An analyst for PricewaterhouseCoopers has lost her claim for sexual discrimination. The American woman alleged that she was made redundant after she complained about a male colleague who she said had tried to begin a relationship with her. The firm said she was made redundant because of the downturn in the US economy. The tribunal did, however, find that the firm had not followed proper redundancy procedures, and she was awarded two months’ pay for unfair dismissal.
