'Targeted support' rules likely by year-end

New FCA rules are due to be finalised by the end of the year letting firms offer "a new category of help" on pensions and investments to cohorts of consumers.

An eight-week consultation ends on 29 August and is the culmination of close collaboration with the sector that has included testing of the proposals with firms as well as consumer groups, the Information Commissioner's Office and other regulatory partners.
