FCA makes finfluencer arrests in week of global action

The regulator has arrested three people, authorised criminal proceedings against three others and carried out further enforcement action during the first week of June - which is also a "global week of action against unlawful finfluencers".

The "global week" involved eight other regulators - the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, four bodies in Canada (the Alberta Securities Commission, Autorité des marchés financiers, British Columbia Securities Commission and the Ontario Securities Commission), the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong, Italy's CONSOB (the Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa) and the Securities and Commodities Authority in the United Arab Emirates.
