New PIDR England and Wales will be 0.5 per cent

The new Personal Injury Discount Rate (PIDR) for England and Wales will be 0.5 per cent, effective from 11 January 2025, the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, Shabana Mahmood has announced. This follows the announcement of a similar PIDR of +0.5 per cent in Scotland and Northern Ireland back in September 2024.
