Introduction

As set out in the previous chapter, liability risk is considered one of three major risks to the financial system arising from climate change, the other two being physical and transition risks. As with physical and transition risks, liability risks arising from climate change can impact insurers’ business risk profile, underwriting strategy and underwriting processes.2
