English and Welsh construction industry suicide rate highest ever

The suicide rate in the English and Welsh construction industry has hit the highest rate since analysis began. The data, compiled by Professor Billy Hare of Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), shows the suicide rate for construction occupations in England and Wales in 2021 was 34 per 100,000 in employment.
