Children hospitalised from ingesting small objects doubles in decade

The number of children being admitted to hospital after ingesting small objects has doubled over the last 10 years to 228, according to the latest data. As a result, leading NHS children’s doctors are encouraging parents to be alert to the dangers of small toys.
