Five-figure sum in compensation for medical negligence

A man who had to have his testicle surgically removed after a hospital’s failure to spot testicular torsion has received a substantial five-figure sum in compensation. At the hospital emergency department he was examined and eventually discharged and was asked to return to hospital the following day for an ultrasound scan.
