Introduction and background
On 31 August 2002, the board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published a report entitled
'Retail Investor Education in the Context of Sustainable Finance Markets and Products' (Report), which was prepared by members
of the Committee on Retail Investors (one of IOSCO's eight committees) (Committee 8). [1]
