Ex-Vodafone CEO fined £80k for negligent inside information disclosure

The former CEO of Vodafone, Sir ChristopherGent, has been fined £80,000 for disclosing insider information when he waschair
of premium-listed medical products company ConvaTec. The FCA fine wasgiven despite the fact that the regulator found “no evidence”
that Sir Christopher,knighted for services to telecommunications, intended to gain personally.
