Pollen tracking

Canadian air quality measurement company AirZone has developed a means of tracking tiny grains of pollen from genetically modified (GM) farm crops as they drift over wide areas to non-GM crops. A reengineering of an existing technology, this can remove much of the uncertainty over whether or not a nonbiotech crop has been contaminated from GM crops. This can be of assistance to food manufacturers and distributors, in their compliance with labelling requirements, and to insurers facing contamination claims.
