Deaths caused by alcohol in 2020 in the UK increased by almost 19 per cent on 2019, making this the largest annual increase
in alcohol-related deaths since 2001, according to data on alcohol-specific deaths in the UK in 2020, published by The Office
of National Statistics (ONS).
