Doctors worried about blame when admitting mistakes
Doctors are increasingly concerned about being blamed when admitting mistakes, an Medical Defence Union (MDU) member survey
has found. More than nine in ten doctors are aware of, and comply, with their duty to be open and honest with patients when
something goes wrong in their care, but nearly a third are concerned about the consequences of admitting errors.
