At a very early stage in the pandemic the government said they would do ‘whatever it takes’ to defeat the virus, something they repeated time and again over many weeks. But many are asking, did they act early enough? Some assert the strategy is wrong, while, in the main, people continue to comply with the lockdown requirements.
