MEPs call for higher European public prosecutor budget

The European Parliament has called for more money to be allocated to the new European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) as it signed off the European Union’s (EU) 2018 accounts, in a process known as ‘discharge’: as the EU’s budgetary authority, the parliament is solely responsible for clearing the accounts of the bloc’s institutions and agencies.
