EU plans AML/CFT law by regulation and single supervisor

The European Commission has confirmed that it wants the European Union (EU) to significantly expand its anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing powers, releasing an action plan [1] that, if enacted, would significantly reduce the autonomy of the current 27 member states over controls in this area.
