Day 38 and it’s all about testing: the government has accepted it may miss the target of carrying out 100,000 virus tests
daily by 1 May. On Tuesday 52,000 people were tested and capacity increased to almost 80,000. The tests are now available
to millions where previously they were only given to those displaying virus symptoms.
