UK lockdown - day twenty-nine

The Chancellor of the Exchequer says he cannot save all businesses or protect all households, but yesterday 140,000 companies were able to apply for furlough payments from the government to cover 80% of their employees’ salaries (up to UK£2,500 each a month).
