Government urged to avoid Brexit disruption in financial services
By Neasa MacErlean
The Government is being urged by the House of Lords EU Financial Affairs Committee to take steps to minimise the potential
for disruption after the Brexit transition. In a
letter sent on 27 March to the Chancellor, the committee says that a “bonfire of regulation” should be avoided. It also calls for
the establishment of a UK-EU forum in order to create a “structured regulatory dialogue in order to manage divergences in
post-Brexit regulation”.
