Adjudication – Alleged failure to address material line of defence – Severance

The pursuer sought to enforce the decision of an adjudicator arising out of a dispute over the valuation of works carried out by the pursuer for the defender, in connection with a project to design and construct electrical, control and instrumentation works at a waste plant. The amount in dispute, being the difference between the valuations carried out by the two parties, amounted to £1,075,328.35. The defender sought to resist enforcement of the decision of the adjudicator on three grounds.
