Round-up of cases featured in Quadrant Chambers' recent Cargo Claims forum

At London International Shipping Week 2019, shipping set Quadrant Chambers held legal forums where their specialists considered key legal developments of recent months. In the cargo claims forum, chaired by Caroline Pounds, Simon Rainey QC spoke on the Supreme Court decision in Volcafe v CSAV; John Russell QC looked at unseaworthiness and passage planning and the consequences of The CMA CGM Libra and Andrew Carruth considered The Lady M, a Court of Appeal decision on fire, barratry and the scope of the Hague Rules defences; all cases in which Quadrant were counsel.
