Goldman Sachs dealt £34m reporting fine — after struggling to find staff to run controls

Nine days after UBS received a record fine for transaction reporting errors, Goldman Sachs International went nearly 25 per cent higher — receiving a £34.3 million penalty from the FCA for errors over a period of nine and a half years. These involved 220 million transaction reports (63 per cent more than UBS’s total). Goldman Sachs is the 14th firm to be fined under the MiFID transaction reporting regime.
