FCA to regulate investment consultants as part of move to improve competition

The regulatory ambit of the FCA looks likely to be broadened to include investment consultants. The Financial Conduct Authority has expressed its support for this move, which is being proposed by the Competition and Markets Authority as part of a package to improve competition in the sector.
