MEPs vote in favour of Fifth EU ML Directive

The European Parliament backed, on 19 April, the proposed Fifth European Union (EU) Money Laundering Directive (5MLD). MEPs
supported – by 574 votes to 13, with 60 abstentions – a December 2017 deal struck on the text with the EU Council of Ministers.
