The recent IFRS Foundation conference in Dubai reignited the debate around how to dovetail Islamic finance with IFRS standards. World Accounting Report caught up briefly with Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi, Chairman of the Islamic Finance Consultative Group to the IASB, Executive Chairman of PwC Malaysia, to discuss some important aspects of the topic, as well as the IASB’s role in this area.
