The European Parliament
finalised its negotiating position on the Fourth EU Money Laundering Directive
((EU) 2015/849) [1] with a vote on 28 February, which endorsed major advances
on the original draft text; some may prove hard for the Council of Ministers to
accept. Trilogue discussions, also with the European Commission, are set to
open on 21 March.
MEP Sven Giegold,
financial and economic policy spokesperson of the Greens/EFA group in the
parliament summarises the many amendments.
