EU Council aims again for 26 June 2017 Fourth ML Directive transposition

EU member states will have under six months to implement the Fourth EU Money Laundering Directive [2015/849] (4MLD) if the final compromise text from the Council of Ministers (dated 19 December 2016 [1]), which will form its negotiating stance in trilogue discussions with the European Parliament and Commission in the new year, is approved. The Council draft reverts to the original effective date of 26 June 2017.
