(Aldrich and Others v Norwich Union Life Insurance Co Ltd and Norwich Union Life Insurance Society v Qureshi [2000] Lloyd’s Rep IR 1)

The progress of the litigation involving the marketing of the guarantee plans intended to facilitate Names’ underwriting at Lloyd’s has been traced in previous issues of Insurance Law Monthly. The Court of Appeal, in the joined appeals in Aldrich and Others v Norwich Union Life Insurance Co Ltd and Norwich Union Life Insurance Society v Qureshi, forthcoming in [2000] Lloyd’s Rep IR 1 , has handed down a ruling which has effectively meant the end of the line for the Names in this particular dispute.
