US OCC guidance counsels caution in de-risking correspondent banks

The US government’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has issued best practice guidance [1] to American banks assessing their correspondent banking relationships, amidst concern that de-risking without clear rationale could create legal liabilities to harmed parties.
