The subject vessel was chartered on an amended NYPE form initially for about 5-7 months but extended for a further 12 months, plus or minus 15 days in the charterers’ option. After the vessel was redelivered disputes arose in relation to various matters affecting the balance of account. The owners claimed a balance of US$32,645.91, whereas the charterers said that there was a balance in their favour of US$8,468.55.
