Goyder writes lucidly and perceptively. His book does not purport to be exhaustive. He starts with an introduction describing the structure of the work, and then an analysis of the nature and importance of competition policy. The reviewer would have liked an explanation of the basic economic analysis and a discussion later of the extent to which it is applied by the
