Internal investigations must not be “gamed” using legal privilege, warns regulator

Records of interviews with staff and other documents created by firms during their own internal investigations throw up some of the most common areas of dispute with the Financial Conduct Authority, according to Jamie Symington, director of enforcement (wholesale, unauthorised business and intelligence).
