Official crime figures mask rise in fraud and cyber
Fraud offences in the UK rose 5% in the 12 months ending September 2014 according to the country’s national fraud and cybercrime
reporting centre, Action Fraud. It recorded 213,000 instances: four per 1,000 (0.4%) people.
