Admiralty practice – Time bar – Whether plaintiffs entitled to mandatory extension of two-year limitation period to bring collision action

On 20 June 2011 the plaintiffs’ vessel Melody and the defendants’ vessel Orinoco Star collided off Lagos, Nigeria. On 6 December 2013 the plaintiffs commenced proceedings against Orinoco Star in Singapore and the vessel was arrested the same day.
