The European Commission’s consultation on the IAS Regulation, and some of the changes proposed in the Maystadt review of the EU endorsement process, closed early in November. Presumably the Commission staff are busy analysing the responses and preparing a report for the Council of Ministers and the European Parliament (EP). With luck, that will be published soon, and should be featuring in the pages of World Accounting Report in the New Year.
