Sanctioning individuals as well as companies

The US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) was the focus of a conference in Maryland in November. The Director of the SEC division of enforcement said corrupt practices undermined investor confidence and the accuracy of company reporting. The SEC was doing its best to ensure that not only companies but also employees were punished for breaches.
