Non-cat losses and weather claims dent Aspen’s Q3 reinsurance earnings

Two significant non-cat losses coupled with higher weather claims dented Aspen’s reinsurance earnings in the third quarter despite a substantial increase in prior-year reserve releases while a more than 20% in insurance premium income absorbed a slight growth in cat claims on the primary side of the business.
