Property theft: Ecclesiastical says metal theft claims are falling

UK: Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical said it received 143 metal theft-related claims in the first quarter of this year, down from 358 claims in the same period of 2012 and the lowest number of claims since 2007. Ecclesiastical attributed the decline to greater public awareness, changes in scrap metal regulation and the launch of a specialist metal theft taskforce.
