QBE has opened an office in Toronto in an effort to bring in new business to its
Lloyd’s platform from the Canadian market. The insurer has more than 30 years’ experience writing business in the largest country
in the Americas and its new office will provide a face-to-face service for its clients in the Canadian commercial insurance
market. The office will also offer local support and a claims-handling service for brokers and clients involved in QBE’s Canadian
business, all of which will be written through
Lloyd’s, where the insurer operates syndicate 386 and umbrella syndicate 2999. David Edgar has been given the role of general manager
for the Toronto office.
