In November 2008, Lord Justice Jackson was given the task of conducting a year-long review of civil litigation costs in England
and Wales and recommending how they can be reduced whilst encouraging access to justice. Jackson LJ has recently published
his Preliminary Report setting out tentative findings and proposals and inviting further submissions.
