Stowaway problem rears ugly head

Chris Spencer, of the Standard P&I Club, warns stowaways are increasing in number

The number of ship stowaways is on the increase again as the global economic slowdown takes hold and the Standard P&I Club has issued advice to members urging them to increase their vigilance in high-risk ports. Prevention is much better than the disruption that stowaways can cause if they are discovered at sea.
