US: Seattle Fire Department investigators said an electrical malfunction caused a fire that injured a man on the 140-foot tug Corbin Foss (178 gt, built 2003) on Elliott Bay two days before. The fire, which investigators called accidental, caused an estimated $500,000 of damage to the vessel. A fireboat was dispatched to fight the blaze. The tug was initially out in the water attached to a barge, and was towed to a dock to allow firefighters better access from the shore.
