AWD Chase de Vere chastened by £1.12m mis-selling fine

A central City location at Pasternoster Square is no guarantee against poor pensions advice based on the £1.12m fine levied on AWD Chase de Vere for breaches of Principles 9 (Customers: relationships of trust) and 3 (Management and Control). In March 2007, in the course of a Treating Customers Fairly visit, the FSA became concerned about the firm’s controls over sales practices and ordered a Section 166 report.
