£1.7mn in compensation over personality change

A former RAF sergeant whose personality changed after he suffered head injuries in a road-traffic accident has been awarded £1.7mn in compensation. The accident was caused by a drunk driver who attempted a handbrake turn at 55 mph. He crashed into a bus shelter which fell on the man.
