The plaintiff was the consignee of 805 M.T. of crude oil and 204 M.T. of soya bean oil loaded at Jakarta in July 1990 for Sydney and Brisbane on board the vessel Bakri Navigator pursuant to a bill of lading issued by the owner of the vessel, Tarazona Shipping Co. S.A.
